Day 13 was the second day in San Diego, and it was a good one. We went to Del Mar again, with plans to head over to Pacific Beach, yet we were having such a blast at Del Mar. We saw the most beautiful girl ever, and Connor and I took a very long walk down the beach. Danny tried his hand at surfing, and Mark laid out on the beach. We saw some guys playing volleyball, a whole line of surfers, and an area where lots of shawties were located. We grabbed Mark and Danny and went to play them, we lost the first game, but we were also outnumbered 5-4. It was a strong fight. We then grabbed our football and threw it out into the water. There was this one stretch of water with barely anybody in it, but that was due to the excessive amount of seaweed in the water. Regardless, we had a blast throwing the rock around on the beach. We saw some girls from a distance get on a tube, and then get sucked out into a rip current. Luckily the lifeguards utilized the dinghy and were able to save them. Mark and Connor played another game of spikeball, then I asked the girls that almost died if they wanted to play a little game of volleyball. All but one of them were pretty bad, but it was still fun. We got back into the water, then asked the guys from earlier to play another game. This time Danny was still surfing so Mark, Connor, this one guy from the other team, and I played the other 4, and we were able to dub. The volleyball girls we play with back in Stafford would be proud of us. At this point it felt as if we had been at the beach forever, so we washed off and started the journey all the way back up to car. I had a decent amount of chafing, so I was waddling something serious. After the couple blocks up the hill, we went and got Rubio's, since it was 5 and we had hardly eaten since breakfast. Connor and I crushed the same lime cilantro bowl we had gotten the night before, and Mark and I both bought 3 churros to share with Connor and each other. Those were some real good churros. Then we went home, showered, and headed over to Aunt Jeanine's for dinner, where Mark’s mom’s best friend, Suzie and her husband would be meeting us for dinner. Marks old babysitter, Mel, would also be there. The hamburgers they served were quite amazing, yet after one burger we were still full from Rubio's just an hour before. There was one burger left and Connor and I felt awful refusing, so we split it. Aunt Jeanine was extremely sweet to us, Uncle Phil was hilarious, and I could see why the Roberts family loved Suzie and Mel so much. Then we got some advice from them about the best route to take, and then headed back over to our house. Mark’s friend from preschool, Liam, came over and that was pretty cool. He brought a few friends and we just hung out and had a good time.
